एक चिड़िया घर में नीले, लाल और हरे रंग के कुछ विशेष प्रकार के गिरगिट हैं। जब दो विभिन्न प्रकार के गिरगिट आपस में मिलते हैं तो वो दोनों अपना रंग तीसरे गिरगिट की तरह बदल लेते हैं। (मतलब अगर नीले और लाल रंग के गिरगिट मिले तो उनका रंग हरा हो जायेगा)

चिड़िया घर में अभी 13 नीले रंग की,
15 लाल रंग की और 17 हरे रंग की गिरगिट हैं।

क्या कभी सभी गिरगिट एक ही रंग के हो सकते हैं।
